DIAMOND BURGLAR

Mark was very tired. He still worked hard in his office. After he finished his work he went home by a taxi. A quarter minutes later he arrived at his house. He paid the taxi and went in front of the door. He knocked the door three times and then his wife Laura opened the door. She was worried about him, because the time was a quarter to midnight. Then he entered his house. After that she made a hot milk for him. Then he drank it. He was very exhausted.

Next morning, Mark and his wife had breakfast together. After that he went to the bedroom and telephoned his friend a man called Dlyan. She felt something wrong with him. After Mark left the bedroom she went to the bedroom. She looked a large briefcase. She opened the briefcase and she was surprised. It was a gun, a diamond, plane tickets, and a passport. Then she ask to him about the diamond. He laughed loudly.


“How did you get this diamond?”, Laura said angrily.

“Oh,.. I got it from my friend?”

“Who??”

“Umm,.. I can’t tell you, honey. It is a secret”

“Okay, I hope you got it in a good way. And why do you bring a gun, plane tickets? Where will you go?”, he said loudly.

“Ahh,.. It’s not your business!!!”, (he shouted)

                Laura knew about her husband. He had prisoned once because he stole a gold from Toko Perhiasan. She was worried, because she afraid he made something bad again. Suddenly, somebody knocked the door. She opened the door and see the middle aged man. And he ask to her.

                “Excuse me, can I meet Mark?”, he said.

                “Of course. But who are you?”

                “My name’s Dylan. I’m Mark’s friend”

                Suddenly, Mark came and ask her to left him. She's still suspicious. They discussed something important. Than he say to her that he want to go to somewhere with his friend. He brought his briefcase to.

                “Laura, I will go to the south America for a great business. Maybe I will come back a week later. Don’t said to anyone!”, he said seriously.

                “A great business? I don’t believe you.”

                “Okay, up to you. Good bye. Take care yourself”, then he left her alone.

                Laura felt worried about him. Then she phoned her friend a woman called Kate to accompany her. She is her best friend. Laura always shared about her problem to Kate.

                A week later, Mark didn’t come home. Laura felt worried and phoned him. But there is no answer. Suddenly her telephone rang. Then, she answered it.

“Uh sorry, this is Kate. I have a bad news”, Kate said to her

“A bed news?? What is that?”

“Have you read a newspaper this day?”

“Oh,.. You should read it. And I hope you can be patient”

“Okay, I hope too”

“Bye!”

                After that Laura read a newspaper in her living room. She was surprised when she read a title of the news. The title is ‘The diamond burglars and has been arrested’. She hope that what was she thought was’nt right. she read it carefully. Suddenly, her telephone rang again.

                “Excuse me, this is  a South America police office. Is it Mark William’s home?”

“Yes, I’m his wife. What’s wrong with my husband?”

“Ehm.. Your husband stole a diamond, bring a gun without a lisence, do a illegal trading, and have a false passport. So we arrest your husband. Okay we just give information to you. Thank you for your attention”

“Uh, sorry. How can I see him?”

“Oh sorry I’m forget. If you want to see him, you can go to our office. At Rosemary Street 155 in Denver, Colorado. For the further information you can contact us. Our phone number’s 2134675.”

“Uh,  thank you very much”

“You’re welcome”

                Laura was very angry with him. She know that Mark can’t remove his bad habits. Maybe, after that she will divorce him.
